Hi, I’m Amy Houston — Realtor, mom of three amazing girls,  and someone who’s just as likely to be painting a wall or styling a space as I am negotiating a deal.

I’ve been in real estate for over a decade, but my journey started long before I ever held a license. Back in 2003, I bought my first fixer-upper here in Northern Kentucky. Let’s just say… it was a mess (think animal stains and all). But once I rolled up my sleeves, transformed that house, and sold it, I was hooked. The process of turning something overlooked into something beautiful sparked something in me — and that spark eventually led me to real estate.

Before real estate, I was a hairstylist for 18 years. I’ve always had an eye for design, a knack for understanding what people want, and a deep appreciation for good conversation — skills that still serve me every single day.

Over time, I fell in love with helping people build brand new homes. There’s something magical about watching a vision come to life — from floor plan to final walkthrough. But let’s be honest, building can feel overwhelming. Every builder has a different process, price point, and timeline. That’s why I created Amy Houston – NKY New Homes — to be a trusted resource for families navigating both sides of the move: selling one home while building another.

My job is to help you time it right, make smart upgrades for the best return, and market your home to avoid carrying two mortgages. I’m always looking out for ways to help you save without sacrificing quality — because I get it. I’m just like you.

When I’m not working, I’m probably on a boat with my family, planning a trip to Florida during the gray Ohio River months, or rearranging the furniture… again.

At home, life is full. I’m married to someone who works harder than I do (yes, it’s possible!) and who treats my girls like his own. Paige is in nursing school, juggling work and clinicals like a champ. My high schooler is introverted, sweet, and quietly brilliant. And Harper? She’s our little firecracker — funny, musical, and full of heart.
